Acupuncture

Acupuncture uses small needles to relax muscles and stimulate nerves which modifies and regulates pathways within the body. In this way it is able to help the body heal itself.

Acupuncture can be added onto your horse’s medical treatments. When added on to current treatments, it can help lower the doses and frequency of certain medications as well as manage side effects.

A variety of conditions can be treated with acupuncture, such as: pain, nerve disorders, osteoarthritis, digestive disorders, reproductive disorders and many more.

Therapeutic Laser

Therapeutic lasers use laser light to stimulate cells in the body to increase metabolism and energy output. This causes a decrease in pain, inflammation and swelling while promoting wound healing and tissue regeneration. It is commonly used during acupuncture visits and can also be used as a stand alone treatment.

Conditions that benefit from laser therapy include post-surgical incisions, degenerative joint disease (arthritis), wounds and muscle pain.

Chiropractic

Chiropractic manipulation is directed at the spine and extremities to modify disease progression, decrease discomfort and improve physical and mental function.

Chiropractic care is safe for animals of all ages, can be utilized in conjunction with more conventional medical treatment and is used mainly for pain relief, developing over all spinal health and disease prevention.

Some conditions that benefit from chiropractic care are physical discomfort, gate imbalances, allergies, bowel irritations, neurological issues, chronic pain and decreased mood.

Health & Wellness Exams/Testing

A key factor of your horses health and performance is taking proactive measures to assure their wellbeing and meeting their long term health goals.

Some of the ways you can take preventive and proactive actions towards your equine partners wellness is through annual medical testing & labs or as needed, lameness exams, having their dentistry up to date, having a dietary consultation, or have a pain management & preventive medicine plan put in place.

Lameness

In order for your horse to live a happy, healthy life they must be able to move free and fluidly. When your horse is not moving at his best we are here to help you diagnose and treat the cause.

A lameness exam may consist of nerve blocks, ultrasound, and radiology (X-Rays) to identify the cause of poor performance. A variety of appropriate treatment options will be discussed following the exam.

Dentistry

Your horses mouth is essential to their health and performance abilities. Therefore it is important to take care of your horses mouth to keep them at top performance and prevent weight loss.

Common signs of dental issues include: tossing head while riding, fighting the bit, back pain, dropping feed, and weight loss. During your horses dental visit a combination of power and hand floats will be used to ensure they’re at their finest.
